Hi Zillians, thanks for stopping by.
My name is Alex, the founder of My Hero VA. This business actually started out of necessity for myself and my other company.
For my video production and amazon FBA businesses, I mainly needed VAs who fit my company culture of never being afraid to answer questions, trying to independently problem solve and always having clear communication.
An added bonus of VAs in Latin America, was that:
– They were also in US time zones.
– They spoke fluent English & Spanish.
– They could observe holidays based on my company.
I hired VAs at other companies, and it never worked out. They either always ghosted me, over promised and under delivered, and it almost always felt like I was paying them but I was the one still doing all of the work. Horrible.
I made My Hero VA to solve my own problems. Then it solved my friend’s problems. And now it is live to you guys to help you out too.
Happy to answer any questions in the comments below.

What’s the origin of the idea for your product?
I sold on Amazon and had a video production business. I needed VAs who worked in my time zone, didn’t ghost me while working and who were independent problem solvers who wanted to help grow my company long term. Fiverr, Upwork and Onlinejob.ph didn’t cut it for the VAs I was looking for. I started collecting resumes for my roles and LOVED working with VAs from Latin America. I then made my database available to friends… then to the public… and now it is growing as it’s own independent business.

My Hero VA is like the ‘Amazon’ marketplace for virtual assistants in Latin America! We are not an agency, so we do not handpick VAs for you. If you spend most of your days doing tasks you’d rather not do, you’ll realize a VA fills a need you didn’t even know you had.
There are no products similar to it, because the special thing about My Hero VA is that the VAs are from Latin America. VAs in Latin America are bilingual in English/Spanish, similar time zones to the US and are independent problem solvers.
Finding professional freelancers or virtual assistants on a platform costs you a fee whether it’s a fee charged per work (freelancing works) or a subscription to be able to post jobs and connect with professionals on the platform. Regardless of the option you choose, there’s no such thing as a free service. Our business model operates on a subscription basis. With this deal, you make a one-time payment to gain lifetime access to the service.
So it’s only for established businesses?
Absolutely not! The vast majority of our users are self employed solopreneurs. They use My Hero VA to quickly & securely hire a virtual worker to outsource a time consuming task, knowing they can always cancel their subscription once done hiring, and then sign back up when they’re hiring again. From businesses big to small, everyone would benefit from LATAM VAs.
Who’s this marketplace for?
For everyone who wants to outsource work. Amazon FBA sellers, video marketers, solopreneurs, small business owners and individuals who want to outsource work from their full time jobs (as long as that is allowed at your specific job!). We also have customers who hire VAs for personal reasons like vacation planning, shopping/meal planning and more.
How exactly do I go about hiring a virtual assistant? Any steps?
This will help you out: How To Hire a Virtual Assistant EASILY in ‘8’ Steps (How To Hire a VA in 2024)
How does payment work for EVERYTHING?
1) You buy your LTD, redeem it, and begin utilizing it to avoid future premium payments or subscriptions to our platform according to your acquired mapped plan.
2) Your VA that you hire will require payment for work.
We are not an agency. Whatever you and your VA decide is the pay for your job, then there is no middle man involved. We do not collect any fees from workers or businesses.
Business can stay between you and your worker, as it should be! 🙂

I bought this a little under a year ago and it is a great service. Otherwise, I’d review on the other page, but Saazilla only allows folks to review if they bought under them, which is very reasonable and a good deterrent against review inflation. Since I last checked, there are way more VAs on there than before, whcih means the trajectory is very very good. I definitely recommend you check this out or buy this LTD. I still primarily use OnlineJobs.Ph, but this one is very, very promising, and it is offering a generous LTD. To me, that’s a no-brainer. I will likely move over to this one entirely when my other subscription runs up.
Hey Jay! Appreciate the kind words a lot.
We’ve recently tripled our VA count so I’m glad you’re noticing it on your end 🙂
Will continue to focus on quality & quantity of workers, along with new great features to help you guys out. Excited to have you move entirely over MHVA soon!
I been a subscriber of onlinejobph for 2 years and currently have a team of VA. My questions are, do you have a escrow system for payment, and time tracking?
Also how big is your VA database? <- most important.
Hey Cubano, I used to be an OLJ subscriber too. But wanted to make “The OLJ of Latin America” which is how My Hero VA came to be.
No escrow system currently. Payments work like OLJ where it’s handled by a third party.
Also, do not currently have time tracking, but have thought about creating it. I’m firmly a believer against screenshotting VAs screens, but I HAVE had a few users really want it. Would time tracking be something that you’d value a lot? Kind of like the OLJ one or any different?
Noticed I didn’t respond to your last question regarding VA count.
We’ve tripled our VA size and new have a few thousand which is good, and growing.
Plan to get over 20,000 VAs:
– Grow worker blog for SEO
– Grow worker educational community
– Lock down ads
– Keep touring colleges
– Keep making educational content (podcast for workers?)
Plan to get over 100,000 VAs:
– Drop what does not work
– Double down on strategies that work
– Improve onboarding
Quality & Quantity is the name of the game!
Like I don’t understand why I should pay for it. What do I get? access to VA marketplace? There are a ton of other platforms for free. I’m so lost on what value I get…
Hey David, I’ll break it down. Let’s start with the “a ton of other platforms are free” because they are not.
All platforms cost you SOMETHING, but it’s less upfront because they charge in the form of fees or monthly payments.
My Hero VA charges no fees. One LTD payment and you’re good to go.
Upwork freelancers can get charged 10%-20% fees, and fiverr charges YOU 10% fees (and may charge workers as well). So you’d either have to pay that on fiverr direct, or freelancers may need to charge more $ to make that 20% up… resulting in you paying more money every time.
EXAMPLE:
1) You hire a VA on fiverr. You pay them $8000/yr for full time work (which typically would not happen since fiverr is a gig marketplace, but just an example). With fees, you’d end up paying $8800/year.
2) You hire a VA on My Hero VA. You pay them $8000/yr for full time work. You pay the LTD fee. You end up paying $8039 that first year. Saving you over $700/yr, and now you have a dedicated VA who’s incentivized to grow your company.
If you’re paying someone on lets say a Fiverr, sure you might get a one off project done. But will it be done well? Will you need to go though the headache of hiring another person after the first one didn’t get the job done? There’s time costs we have to weigh as business owners as well.
It’s also a huge headache to find a new person for each gig when the person you’ve worked with in the past isn’t available. Then you need to cross your fingers and hope they will deliver as promised and on time. The time involved in finding someone, getting to know them and having them understand your needs is costly, not to mention the platform fees. Considering the above I believe it would be less headaches and cheaper to hire a VA through My Hero VA.
Welcome!
Why are you different from all the other job marketplaces, facebook groups, etc?
You said: “I hired VAs at other companies, and it never worked out. They either always ghosted me, over promised and under delivered, and it almost always felt like I was paying them but I was the one still doing all of the work. Horrible.”
So how did you solved this at “My Hero VA”? Why are the people in your platform “better”?
Thanks
Hey thanks!
1) We’re different from other job marketplaces because most marketplaces focus on gig work. Using gig work marketplaces results in business owners paying more money through fees (or workers being charged fees, so businesses get charged more), and having gig workers that are not incentivized to grow your company (Gig worker vs full time worker incentives). Yes some VAs on our site offer gig work. But the majority of the VAs on our site are looking to grow with a company full time/part time.
2) Our goal is to streamline the search for a VA and provide you guys with free resources and useful tools to help you do that. Sure, you can probably search through social media and try finding someone. But our goal is to lessen the headache and make things easier, smoother and more of a higher quality experience.
3) I’ve found that it’s a great experience to work with VAs from Latin America. Of course, this will vary depending on the individual, but each VA I’ve hired from Latin America is crushing it. They’ve helped to take a lot off my plate. They’re bilingual in Spanish & English and in my time zone as well, so that was a plus too.
