    First post from founder

    👋🏽 Hey there SaaSZilla family!

Some of you may already know me but I’m Timothy, and one of two co-founders of Pixmo!

Our team is comprised of myself, our other co-founder Stephen, and 3 amazing developers with a full time customer support rep Justin! And, we are looking already to expand our customer support team and legal teams!

⁉️ Pixmo was created because my co-founder Stephen (who is also a professional photographer) had over $50,000 worth of images stolen on a print-on-demand shop. He had to hire a lawyer, and it got pretty messy.

So we thought- how could this have been prevented or caught earlier? How could we keep track of these images and content without having to search for each one and keep an excel spreadsheet for it? And so Pixmo was born!

But couldn’t you just use google reverse image search? Yeah! You absolutely can but that wouldn’t monitor your images and content 24/7/365 and I’m sure keeping another spreadsheet on your computer is less than ideal. You’d have to update that nearly every week! We save you tons of time and resources by doing the hard work for you. 🤭

🌟 Our team is laser focused on ensuring your digital assets are safe. Billions of dollars are stolen each day from your hard work. You are owed this tool!

So, what are you waiting for? Upload your content and see for yourself if anyone’s using your content without your knowledge. I’m sure you’ll be surprised at what you find! But remember- you have a whole team behind you now. 🥳

    Product FAQs

    Will PIXMO detect my images?

YES, as long as they are indexed by search engines. The general technical implications of PIXMO’s image monitoring system is that essentially has access to Google’s data via their API. Therefore, whatever data Google captures is processable by PIXMO.

This also include use cases as your images being used by online sellers (your art made product or competitors distributing your product images or selling your products w
ithout licence) in online marketplace such as Amazon/eBay/Etsy/Shopee/Lazada, etc. That’s because marketplaces like those, like any other regular website, index their listings to leverage Google’s organic traffic.

NOTE: As usual, it’s always best to try it by yourself and your use case. Upon purchase, you have the PIXMO team for doubts/tweaks and our no-risk 60-day money back guarantee 😃

Are the image limits a one-time thing or recurring?

PIXMO’s image monitoring is not a one-time check upon upload. Your images are continuously monitored once you upload them on the platform. With this deal, you receive unlimited monitoring time per month for all your active images, depending on the tier you choose. How you utilize your total active image limit for continuous monitoring (recurring but based on the total number of images), depends on your asset’s nature and intended use, adjusting according to your needs. Please note that you have the flexibility to remove any images that no longer require monitoring (explained on the FAQs).

For example, you might choose to remove images that no longer need monitoring, such as those of a product that is no longer sold in your store. This action would free up space for other relevant images, increasing your total available images for recurring monitoring. Conversely, certain images, like permanent assets including your logo or photographs, may require indefinite monitoring.

Can I delete monitored files to make room for new ones?

Yes, you can. Just remember that PIXMO is designed to be a continuous monitoring system for your digital assets. That’s why there is a 30-day cooling-off period before uploaded files can be deleted. This way we can be sure that the tool is used for its original purpose and not for one-time processing (constant uploading and deleting of files as the norm).

    How the commercial rights work?

If you’re an agency, you can use PIXMO to offer our monitoring service as an intermediary for your clients. This includes the commercial rights to charge them for it. i.e. “You run a creative agency, you can offer your clients a service for a monthly fee to monitor the work you’ve created for them / marketing agencies offering this service for the images of the websites of their customers even if the haven’t created those, etc”.

The recommended workflow is to create a folder for each of your clients and put all their digital image assets there so you can monitor them more easily. Reporting for agencies is on the roadmap.

As per the takedowns, PIXMO are legally allowed to act on behalf of the image OWNER and/or any REPRESENTATIVE authorized (your agency) to act on behalf.

    1. hi,

      I like the general idea.

      1) What is your general speed of delivery against new planned functionality ? I see a couple things “in progress” from 6 months ago. At that rate it will take you 2-3 years to complete the others ? Seems a long time to me. Is anyone really working on development ?
      2) When was the last new functional upgrade applied please ?

      Many thanks

    2. what happens if a pixmo customer uses pixmo to protect someone elses image ? and then gets pixmo to send a takedown notice to the real owner ? this could result in a mess if stolen images are put in pixmo ?? just like invade and steal a continent and then police the world from it.

      • Hey there! Quite the question!

In short: we don’t police who owns the images and who doesn’t. That is absolutely a civil matter. What Pixmo does is facilitate the monitoring of images and if someone were to issue a takedown from our and and the person essentially the “real” owner, so long as the “real owner” has proof of such ownership there’s nothing Pixmo could do to the person who essentially stole the image. Our team takes all takedowns serious and if that did happen, that user would no longer have an account on Pixmo.

      • Hello!

During a takedown case specifically we ask questions about the photos that are pretty detailed but ultimately we do not ask you to prove you own the images. We do have a proprietary process internally that if we suspect you don’t own the image we can check and cancel the case in that situation but yeah we don’t ask for proof of ownership. Hope this helps!

    3. To be clear, if the system finds an infringed work like a photograph, Pixmo will actually handle the takedown and legal issues as well? If I understood correctly, that is one of the more powerful sides of the system.

Would love to have this confirmed 🙂

      • Hello! Thanks for your question!

It’s first important to share that we are not lawyers and we do not take any legal action.

Pixmo does demand takedowns, and demands payment for the infringing copyright. The demand for payment is to sell the offending party a license to use the image. We can also make it where the user must pay for past use of the images AND take it down. Or simply take it down without any monetary value.

Outside of our demand letters, there is nothing we can do- you would have to go after them legally using your own lawyer if you choose to do so. Hope this helps.

    4. Will pixmo work for images which we’ve purchased and have commercial rights to, and have built into a training course or other content? I’m asking because we have a lot of custom training content which is shared out to clients, via pdf or other formats with imagary which we’ve used legally and have commercial rights to embedded into our content, so I’m trying to understand if Pixmo can somehow protect unauthorized use of our content that way?

      • Hey, the only possible way that any image monitoring system has to check your images is if they actually exists on the internet as indexeded images (Google is able to recognize them).
There’s no other technollogical way to make this work.
If the PDF content is directly uploaded to the Internet and those images are somehow indexed yes, they could be detected by the monotoring system.
I hope that clarifies your doubt.
        Regards.

    5. Looks good! Ive seen on the roadmap you’re working on copy monitoring ? Could you expand how the credits will work regarding to tiers in this context ?

      • Hi there Diane!

Thanks for asking your question! And, I must say, you ask a very difficult question for any company founder haha. The reality is, this feature is still in development, and it’s almost impossible to say that the credits or structure will be until we fully integrate this into our system.

What I can say is that this feature will 100% be included in all plans and the limitations for this (whether it be credit-based, or however the structure will be) will be based off the plans that we have and the LTD users will be of course based off the plan that the deal is matched with. 🙂

It is a bit still too soon, though, to say much here, but you are more than welcome to reach out to us and see if there are any updates to this in the coming months. 🙂 Thank you again for your question and please don’t hesitate to reach out with anymore questions you have!

        Best,
        Timothy

    6. Hi Timothy, Pixmo looks great. Thank you for bringing it here.

In the future, will different plans have different features or will all plans have all features just different allowance of usage?

      • Hey Mh!

Thank you so much! Great question! In short, yes. Generally speaking the larger plans would have features added later that don’t apply to the lower-cost plans. 🙂

Of course we analyze those features and will try our best to include those in smaller plans, too but definitely a case-by-case basis.

Feel free to ping back with anymore questions! Happy to help!

I bought Pixmo a while back. So far from all my tests Pixmo almost didn’t find any results. There is loooots of improvement to be done. I still hope that one day it will work as I was hoping for. I did use a competitor service in the past which worked 100%. So far I am not very impressed by Pixmo.
Hopefully one day I can give it 5 stars.
To be honest I would give it 1 star today…the 3 stars are for the Pixmo teams efforts to improve.

Earned me some backlinks. Thanks Pixmo!

I’ve been using Pixmo for a few months now to help monitor and manage my digital assets across the web. The 24/7 monitoring of my images is invaluable. I’ve been shocked to see my photos show up on random websites.

However, like any young start-up, there were some hiccups along the way. Initially, some of my images were not showing up on the dashboard, and there were issues with sorting images into the correct folders. But the support team was helpful in resolving these issues. I understand that they’re constantly improving and refining their platform, which is encouraging to see.

Now, all of my blog images, infographics, and assets like logos are tracked every day. I’ve even reached out to a few websites using my assets and requested backlinks, which has been a great additional benefit of using Pixmo.

Overall, considering the service they provide, the price is more than reasonable. The value of knowing your digital assets are protected and monitored far outweighs the cost. It’s been a positive experience, and I’m happy to support them as they continue to improve and grow.

Hey there! I’ve been playing around with PIXMO for some time now, and it’s honestly been pretty awesome. As a photographer, it’s like having an extra set of eyes on my images – super handy.

So, there was this small blip recently due to some tech stuff going on their end. It caused a pause in the service, but nothing major. Their support squad jumped on it quickly, which was impressive. Even though it’s a 24/7 monitoring service and I really didn’t lose out on anything, I thought it’s worth giving to mention. The cool part was they kept me in the loop about what was going on – felt nice to be in the know.

To make up for the tech trouble, PIXMO surprised me with 500 free credits for life. Such a sweet move on their part! It really showed they care about their customers’ happiness and I felt pretty special.

Despite a minor hiccup, I am super happy with PIXMO’s service, which is why I initially wanted to give a 4.5-star review. Unfortunately, since there was no option for half stars, I had to settle for 4. However, their handling of the situation demonstrated to me that they are a dedicated and reliable team. If you’re on the hunt for a strong and dependable image monitoring service, I’d definitely say give PIXMO a shot!

Honestly, I’m done with you guys. I bought it on 16 August, and after having submitted more than 500 images, I’m still unable to see any of them, only a white card, and not even delete them. Besides, I was inside a folder I created when I uploaded them, but anyway, all the images were uploaded to the root folder instead.

I’m so upset because of the time I lost with your service. And please, don’t try to reply to this message saying that you had problems, and the solution is not to click a button and Boom, those were your words 7 days ago. I’m a PHP programmer as well. And neither reply with “You uploaded the images only 11 hour ago,” like you said in the last message, because I uploaded the last ones on 21 August, and I have the screenshots of all the chats I had with you where you can see clearly the date of my messages.

I hope you can solve your issues because the software looks promising. Although honestly, if you can not sue the people for us, I see no reason to use your software. I started to use Copytrack inside the free plan just one month ago, and I have already received my first 200€ because of the illegal use of one of my images. They work while you don’t!

        Hello Alberto.

I am delighted to address your concerns, recognizing that every situation has multiple facets, and Pixmo places genuine importance on our customers, even those who express criticism that we may not entirely agree with.

First and foremost, I would like to extend our appreciation for taking the time to compose this review. It’s important to stress that we value both positive and negative feedback equally, as the latter provides us with valuable insights on how to improve our services and cater to a diverse clientele.

Regarding the issue of timing, I do believe it warrants discussion. Your registration coincided with a significant bug in our system that emerged on August 19th, which you were the first to report. It’s worth noting that your initial contact occurred during the weekend when our support team is not operational, as we place great emphasis on our employees’ well-being, including their work-life balance. Thus, weekends are reserved for their personal and family time.

Our response to your support ticket came on the following Monday, where we assured you that we would promptly investigate and address the issue – a commitment we upheld. A few days later, you reached out to our support team again, expressing frustration. We attempted to convey that resolving a bug isn’t as straightforward as clicking a button. Given your background as a PHP developer, you likely understand firsthand the intricacies of addressing complex bugs within a system. Consequently, expecting an immediate fix may not be entirely reasonable.

Moving forward, there appears to be a misunderstanding regarding the communication with our support team. When Justin mentioned “I did also notice that you sent them 11 hours ago,” he was referring to the timing of your message rather than the upload of images. The point he aimed to convey was that the changes you mentioned were not yet pushed to the live server at that specific moment due to the ongoing bug fix.

In response to the issue, I, as the founder of Pixmo, recognized the problem and took steps to maintain transparency by sharing details on Facebook regarding how our company resolved the situation. You can find the post here: [Insert Facebook post link].

We genuinely care for our customers, and it’s disheartening that you felt compelled to leave such a negative review for a service that is offered at an incredibly affordable rate. We hoped that by extending access to our platform to individuals like yourself, you would appreciate that we are not solely here to support you but to foster a thriving community, managing issues as they arise within the scope of our capabilities as a company.

Lastly, I would like to clarify that nowhere in our documentation, website, or Saaszilla page does it state that we engage in legal action against offending parties. This accusation is unfounded, and it is incumbent upon users to familiarize themselves with the capabilities and limitations of the tools they choose to use.

My ultimate wish is for the best possible outcome for you, both professionally and personally. If there are any underlying issues causing distress in your personal life, I hope you are able to overcome them.

        Warm regards,
        Timothy

This is one of those deals that I jumped on instantly.
I run an eCom physical products business.
We take our own images of our products.
Those images are pretty high quality & more often than not, our images are copied and used by other brands selling knockoffs of just inferior products.

Before PixMo it was very difficult for us to keep track of all of our assets because let’s face it, the internet is a big place!

Once we started using PixMo, I uploaded about 20 images for just 1 of our products & Pixmo found plenty of sites that were using our images without consent.

PixMo also has free a service to send takedown notices for each infringing image and site.

I sent 2 takedowns so far & I gotta say. I was impressed not only with the images of my products that PixMo found, but also with the way they handled the takedown for me was well beyond what I expected.

I also spoke to Tim, one of the PixMo founders and he has some great features on the roadmap!

I’m really happy SaaSZilla was able to bring this deal!

      Easy 5 stars!

        Shlomo!

Thanks so much for your kind words! You are right- keeping track of this outside of a system like Pixmo is an insanely time consuming process. One of the things we considered when building Pixmo was the amount of time spent trying to track this.

Thanks again for your continued support and stellar review!

I have used many of these digital asset-scanning tools and must say Pixmo performs much, much better than the rest. As an artist my work gets stolen often and printed on merch. I usually just do some Google searches to manually track down the stolen art. With Pixmo I just upload my images and Pixmo does the rest. The platform has already found hundreds of my designs all over the place. After finding my art, the Pixmo team then reaches out to the thieves and requests the images be taken down… even getting money in damages if requested.

The limits in this deal are incredibly generous, and for the amount spent on Pixmo I already got a return on my investment and more.

I also plan on using Pixmo to get backlinks from some that take my images without permission. Who knew this can be an SEO tool as well!

Highly recommend! Give it a try.

I’m so so sorry your work gets stolen often! It’s such an insane thing that happens and absolutely something that should not happen.

I’m honored to bring a tool to help people like you recover work that they worked really hard to create. We hope that Pixmo can help millions soon do the same and truly thank you for your kind words and support!

        Hello,

While I’m saddened that this is a one-star review, I would like to just publicly post that this individual never reached out to support before posting this, and in a Facebook group admitted that he jumped to conclusions about this.

If an image is not indexed by the internet, we can’t detect it. It’s worth noting that Pixmo is an image “Monitoring” platform. To which if an image does not find a match immediately, we are a long-term solution.

Without asking support to clarify this, it makes sense how this individual jumped to conclusions without truly understanding what we do and how we work.

I only wish this individual the best

        Cheers.
