      I just subscribed, and I can see that, compared to others, it’s quite a minimalist tool, which can be an advantage, at least for me. The chat feature with PDFs is very good.

      If there’s one thing that keeps me from upgrading, it’s the 15 MB upload limit for PDFs. I would request the ability to upload at least 30 MB.

      I just tried the free subscription to consider purchasing tier2.
      using Arabic, exported the result as a word document.
      Upon opining the word document, it immediately had all of the words marked with red underlines, indicating all the words should be corrected.
      it seems that word thinks the text is American English so he thought all the text needed correction.
      the same happened when I used Hebrew inside Penpilot after exporting to word.
      How to correct this? For me it is a deal breaker.

      This is a good product but still needs quite a lot of improvements. Here are some:
      1. The text should be formatted in justified format (it shows itself disorganized, which complicates reading).
      2. There should be more options in terms of letter format and size.
      3. It should be possible to reorganize the order of the documents (in order to organize them in chapters, rather than having a whole book in one document). Possibly, there should be an option to merge the documents too in the order provided.
      4. The option for auto-completion should have more than ChatGPT as a LLM, and more than one text as reference to the writing style (possibly various PDFs).
      5. The option to Generate Content could include "book" with 17 to 30 chapters based on files provided or scientific research available (similar to what Afforai offers).
      6. There could be an option for Novel creation and Novel Outline, as this app is perfect for creative writing.
      7. I see potential here for children's literature. Only thing missing is an AI Image Generator (offering congruent characters – possibly a combination of character creation without background in PNG, and another option for scenario generation, or quite simply multiple options of images to choose from to create the pages).
      8. I am still not sure how to use "Ask Pen-Pilot" to help me generate content, but it could be useful as a tool to both summarize and paraphrase chapters.
      9. I recommend adding a "proofreading" option that reviews the whole content and edits it for clarity and congruence.
      10. The option "Create AI Voice" could include the upload of PDF to optimize the process, with entire books based on the same author.
      11. I like the option to speak to the APP and let it transcribe. Another option to be included could be uploading audio that transcribes everything into the document. This would be of a tremendous help (as I have tried different ways of writing and found this more efficient and less time-consuming).

      I have a nice collection of AI tools and PenPilot AI could have been just another one…but it is not! I am using it to write fiction movies scripts and I must say it does perfectly its job.
      I added an AI Voice to refine the AI, uploaded documents about my story and even activated the auto-completion tool with a special prompt for it to act as I want (kind of suggestions by a professional here). Finally, the chat is like having a script doctor by your side!
      I know my use is very particular and also uneasy. That is why I am sure PenPilot AI can adapt to anything you want it to do.

      First, thank you for the Turkish support. However, there is a problem here: In a research I have done in Turkish, there are usually Turkish sources in the citations. However, the number of English sources is much higher. Let Penpilot offer us an option: when we want, we can cite Turkish sources, when we want, we can use English sources, but our work should continue in Turkish. In this way, we can strengthen our research.
      My second suggestion and request: For example, the academic papers I have written using Penpilot show 100% results in the AI ​​control of the plagiarism program called "Turnitin". It would be great if an add-on was made to convert the writing results into humane writing. In other words, I do not want our work to be caught by AI detectors.

        We get citations from the Crossref database, which has more English sources than Turkish. I’ll look into adding filters so you can choose Turkish or English sources based on your preference.

        We’re also planning to integrate with Turnitin soon. Just like our readability checker that we added recently, any plagiarized text will be highlighted. You’ll be able to paraphrase with one click to make it unique.

        1. Yes we do have support for the Japanese language.

        2. There's a big difference with GPT-canvas, here are a few:
        – Text auto-completion.
        – A library for your sources and AI fine-tuning.
        – Plagiarism checker.
        – Readability checker.
        – More powerful AI commands.
        – Citations and references.

        In my opinion, GPT-canvas is cool but it's very limited compared to PenPilot because PenPilot is designed solely for writers.

      Hello, when I create content in Chinese, the real-time word count display at the bottom is always incorrect. Additionally, when I use the Plagiarism Checker, I get an error saying "Cannot read properties of undefined 7023-cab0ef7de5b1b574-js:1 (reading 'length')". Is this caused by using Chinese? This makes the experience quite inconvenient for me, as every time an error occurs, I have to abandon my article and re-enter the page by changing the URL link.

          As for the plagiarism checker, if you run it on a document in Chinese, it will display: "Copyscape does not currently support Chinese, Japanese and Korean." This is because we rely on a third-party service for plagiarism checks, and they don’t support those languages yet. We've reached out to them to find out when support will be added.

        The 3-hour limit and 30 calls apply to AI-driven features like content generation, AI commands (summarizing, paraphrasing, etc.), and AI chat. So, if you make edits or add references, that won’t count toward your limit.

        Each time you ask the AI to generate or revise content, that’s when a call is counted. For example, if you used AI to generate part of the article or run any AI command, that would reduce the number of available calls within the 3-hour window. Once that time period resets, you’ll have a fresh set of calls to use.

        You can always track your real-time usage by clicking your name on the sidebar and selecting the “SaasZilla Plan” option.

      Just a short review because I've only used it a few times so far, but this product is pretty special – the results I've gotten from my prompts were enough for me to immediately email several friends and colleagues with one of the prompts vs PenPilot's (unedited) output.

      There is work to be done around the folders, organisation, etc… but that's simple compared to the engine itself and *that* they've got right. I'm super happy with my purchase!!

Plus, stopping it at the perfect moment can be tricky and may result in less-than-ideal outcomes. Instead, we recommend providing a word limit in the overview step, which offers better results.

      Question – I don't quite get which differences between Tier 2 & Tier 3 are applicable if BYOK?

      If BYOK is there any reason to go for Tier 3 or Tier 2 is effectively the same?

      Also, another question you mentioned multiple users is on roadmap – could we expect this would be available for Tier 2 / Tier 3 buyers?

        If you're using your own API key, the big difference between Tier 2 and Tier 3 is just the word count for monthly plagiarism checks.

        As we roll out new features down the line, Tier 3 will generally have more perks compared to Tier 2, with Tier 1 following behind.

        Take the upcoming team feature, for instance. Everyone will get access, but Tier 2 users can add 1 team member for free, while those on Tier 3 can add 2 for free.

        -> To be honest it's still early to say. I'm not sure how fast that model is going to be and streaming doesn't seem to be an option so all the content that the model writes comes back as one block. We'll have to wait and see if it makes a good replacement for GPT-4o.

        -> No. We use CopyScape to check for Plagiarism. We got a request before to add the option to bring your own CopyScape API key to remove limits but we're not sure if there's a use case for it. Please let me know what you think.

        -> We released a new update that should help with that. The reason we can't always generate ~2000 words is that we don't restrict the model with headings, most tools do that and they end up with content that looks AI generated from a mile away because it lacks formatting.

        Although we are planning to release an update to allow you to choose headings for your article, those will be used as a suggestion for the model rather than a restriction.

        Great question! Since we don’t train the AI on your documents, it might lose context between them. Here’s how I’d approach it:

        1. Organize your chapters into folders, with each document representing a page or more.

        2. If you have any relevant public data (like news articles), add it to your library. This allows you to use these sources to fine-tune the AI and give it more context for your writing.

        3. For each document, provide a brief overview to guide the AI. You can find this in the document settings in the top right corner. This ensures the AI stays relevant to what you’re working on.

      Unbelievable Results 😱

      I don´t know how, but the output of PenPilot is quite awesome.
      Especially for my language and themes, it´s relay nice, and in most cases I can use the generated content 1:1 without any corrections needed.
      PenPilot is perfect for fast content creation.

      The ability to upload sample content to train/help AI to be more specific, is also a nice feature.

      What I´m currently missing:
      – OCR scan for PDF files
      – sorting ability of uploaded files into directories. It would be a time saver when selecting a folder as a source for training rather than each file.

      Could be a strong competitor to Afforai 👍

            The call counter increases with every AI-driven content generation (like generating full articles, and blog posts), AI chat messages, or using AI commands (summarize, paraphrase, etc.).

            The counter resets every 3 hours. For example, if you’re on Tier 2 with a limit of 60 calls, you can generate up to 60 articles within that 3-hour window. After 3 hours, the limit resets, and you can start fresh.

            As for showing this in the UI, I agree—it’s a great idea! While 3 hours is a relatively short time, I’ll go ahead and add this to our roadmap: https://penpilotai.upvoty.com/.

      – I can set a URL or PDF as source for AI to give samples of what I like to write. But is it also possible to set some PDF or URL sources with writing skills (copywriting frameworks), which could be used by AI to write better content.

      I assume when I upload copywriting frameworks AND recipes about protein cookie, the AI is confused, because the source are too different?

        2. Setting AI Role: You can add that as a prompt in the "Overview" step in the "AI-Driven Content Generation" flow. If you are starting from scratch without the "AI-Driven Content Generation" then you can add that as a prompt under the document settings in the top right.

        1. Storage Capacity: All tiers can upload up to 1,000 files with a limit of 10MB per file, totaling up to 10GB of storage per user but that's not a hard limit it's just a way to prevent abuse and you can always request more storage for free.

        2. Multiple Levels of Sub-Folders: That's a great feature to add. We'll add this to our roadmap for future development.

        3. Export as Markdown: We'll include this feature in our roadmap and work on getting it implemented. It should be a minimal update on our end since it's already implemented but we didn't expose it since we thought there's no use case for it.
