This tool is lightweight and very user-friendly. As a Japanese person who doesn’t understand English well, the simple UI doesn’t make me feel much of a language barrier. Also, the support team responds very quickly and courteously. Speaking of other tools, I’ve encountered some where support was initially good but deteriorated as the tool grew, so please remain a customer-first tool that doesn’t follow that path. If I had to point out areas for improvement, there are a few things I’d like to see fixed (such as the limit of 30 images that can be edited at once, and the 5,000 maximum feeling insufficient), but it’s still an excellent tool.

I'm using this for Shopify and it's very simple to use.
You simply connect to Shopify (through a custom app), scan your store and upload images (one click), generate alt text (one click), apply alt to image on Shopify store (one click).
From what I can tell, the alt text is generated from the product description and the image itself. The alt text I've generated so far is spot on. The only minor thing I've noticed is that generations are in US English, not British English, but I hope this can be an easy addition as there are loads of other languages to choose from too. This probably isn't an issue for 99% of people and I'm pretty sure that if someone is searching for cream 'color' the search engines are going to provide results for cream 'colour' too.
Also, very impressed that credits roll over, as one month we may have more products to upload than the next, so we can still use our credits.

Wow, I'm really impressed with the output on this! I've been using Alttext.ai and while it's descriptive, it doesn't do a very good job of integrating the keywords properly or using modern day, human language. I tested Alt Magic this one a difficult image and it nailed it! Couple questions for you:
1. Bulk Alt Text Generation: Can I do this by product category and tags?
– Category A will need to integrate keywords 1&2
– Category B will need to integrate keywords 3&4
– Subcategory A-1 will need to integrate 1&2 + X
Does that make sense?
2. I see the website scanner tool (awesome). Is it possible to scan and update existing Titles & Alt Text Descriptions or will it only catch the images that don't have any metadata yet?

Are you talking about Shopify products/WooCommerce or something else? I get your point. I can answer the current way of generating alt text for products that it takes the product's name as the context.

You write in the description and on your website that there's a shopify integration but I see 0 images or videos on how it integrates with Shopify.

1. Yes, you can connect as many sites as you want
2. The alt text is updated in your media library permanently. SO no, it will not get removed if the plugin is removed.
3. On January 1st of every year, the credits will get reset
I'll suggest you to go for tier 3 then, as the prices will get increased in somedays.
Can you better explain the rollover credits? You say “ Unused monthly credits will roll over (reset annually)”. Can you explain the reset annually part better? For example, if I accumulate 20,000 credits, they all reset back to zero at the end of each year? Or this mknth credit rollover for up to a year?
Secondly, do you plan on offering a BYOK option on top of the plan? Helps users for the unusually high volume mknth, and helps you avoid unnecessary high ongoing costs.
On January 1st of every year, the accumulated credits will get reset. So you have 1 year to use all your credits of that year.

Let's say I buy tier 2 , 1500 images per month and I manage 100 websites. Let's say I install the plugin on the 100 websites. And the first 50 have already 1500 images. What happen ? the next month the following 50 will be treated ?

Great question. Currently the control is in your hand. There are 2 ways where Alt Magic generates alt text in the plug-in:
– Automatically generates alt text for the images (on first-upload, first-generate basis).
– Process images in bulk (manual start)
So if you want to generate alt texts for the first 50 sites, you ca run the manual on those 50 and then the next month you can run manually on the next 50 sites.
I have Alttext.ai, and I also tested Altmagic. The output from Altmagic is indeed much better, but Alttext.ai has a new feature as follows: https://alttext.ai/docs/integrations/html/
The general content is:

We'll need a consensus on this feature. Users get stuck with a particular platform after using this feature, as thousands of alt text applied via the JavaScript snippet needs to be manually updated again in case the users want to get out of the alttext ai platform. As there alt texts are not updated in the cms platforms and sites, instead they are just dynamically applied at the time of site load.
Hi, I noticed that the plugin hasn't been updated for over 2 months. Personally, I find that a bit 'suspicious'. Is there a reason for that? Can we expect any new features in the near future?
There are 2 basic reasons for that –
1. The plugin is stable for all of its functionalities
2. We are working on the web app side heavily currently as we are adding some core features like prompt tweaking.
We are hoping to complete the features for the web app by next week and then all those features will be ported to the Plugin too 😀
I really like altmagic. The only thing I miss is an integration with RankMath, which is cheaper, faster, and superior in terms of function compared to Yoast (404 detection, redirect integration, etc….). Are you planning to implement it?

You'll be able to scan and generate alt text for the BD pages. But you need to manually upload the alt text to the BD images. We're planning for a chrome extension to solve that.
